If you are great with a script but the thought of speaking on the fly terrifies you, then this is the necessary course to face those fears. Agents and managers in Los Angeles frequently look to see if actors have Improvisation on their resumes. And the reason is that film, tv, and commercials often require their actors to improvise on set. Take it from seasoned pro, Brett Duggan, who has ABC, Netflix, and Amazon credits all featuring his improvisation skills, to lead students on how to gain the necessary skills to be free and full of life while improvising.

This course is required for those applying to Advanced.

If you want to do this course and more, opt for one of our Membership Plans to lock in the best value for your training. The more you train, the better you will act.

COVID PROCEDURES FOR IN-PERSON CLASS PARTICIPANTS
Effective as of June 15th, for July classes (and a choice few others), students who can show proof of full vaccination (vaccination card dated at least two weeks prior for the 2nd shot) will be allowed to participate unmasked. Students who are not fully vaccinated will be required to remain masked to ensure health safety. We are keeping our social distancing policy and classroom size caps.

For any film shoots at the studio, unvaccinated students will be required to submit a negative Covid test 1-2 days before filming unmasked. We will still be enforcing social distancing. Film shoots will be closed, which means only actors performing and the teacher and filming assistant will be in the studio at a time, so that those acting can be unmasked. Students unable to adhere to these requirements will have to film their scenes masked.

How it will work:
On the first day of class, students are asked to show their complete vaccination card to the instructor. As long as the 2nd shot was at least 2 weeks prior, the student will then be able to participate in the class without masks.
HYBRID CLASSROOMS

All In-person classes will function in a hybrid manner, which means that at any point a student can opt to join the classroom remotely. This will change and limit the way the student will participate in the classroom, but students will still get to learn and work in the class. Every in-person class will have a Zoom link assigned to it, so should a student need to miss meeting in-person, they can log in remotely and join the class. In the physical classroom, there will be a large screen where remote classmates will be viewable to the group. The teacher, using a laptop on a moving lecturn, will ensure remote participants can clearly hear and see their classmates during class.

PAYMENT DISCLOSURE

As always, there are no returns or transfers. Tuition reserves your spot in class; all classes fill up, so this is the only way to confirm your spot. Tuition is non-refundable nor transferrable, as class is a commitment to yourself, your scene partner, your instructor and the collective.
PAYMENT INSTALLATION POLICY
If an installment is purchased, a Recurring Authorization Payment Form will be part of the in person paperwork we will need completed. If you sign up over the phone, the form will be sent to you. Complete the form and turn it in before class starts. Without the form, you will not be officially registered in the class and will not be allowed to start your training until you have done so. A $1 charge will be made in order to ensure method of payment is valid. The value will be returned back to the card after the payment goes through. The last payment will be deducted June 30th.
By opting for Installment Plans, you are making a commitment to pay them as scheduled regardless of absences or attrition; it is a legally binding contract. If such a commitment cannot be made, we recommend paying for the course in full or not enrolling.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
All health related absences will be excused, with or without a doctors note. Our nonrefundable tuition policy will stand; however, if you are unable to complete the course due to illness, we are willing to transfer tuition to another class in the following semester. If you are concerned about attending class in person, we will offer online attendance (via video call.) *This attendance policy is temporary, going into effect as of Winter 2020 semester. This policy is subject to change.
MAKE-UP CLASS POLICY
Excused absences may be made up by attending another similar class within 3 months of the absence. No other make-up arrangements or discounts will be offered.
